The project Solar Home Lighting in villages of Rajasthan was halted due to total lockdown imposed by the Government of India in view of the pandemic COVID-19. The management of SED and on behalf of its prospective beneficiaries thanks to all of you who has supported our work and helped us in our efforts to provide prosperity in the life of rural people by donating money for installing Solar home lighting system.
So far, we have installed 113 solar lighting systems at the homes of poor people in villages of Digod, Kasampura, Parlia, Nayagaon and Mundla of Kota district in Rajasthan. They are installed free of cost and collection of $ 5 per month from each beneficiary has been going on. Till date, we have collected $ 4200. This money was utilized to maintain Solar Home Lighting Systems.
During the reporting period no training programme was organized for providing training in repair and maintenance due to COVID-19. Presently people are having 7 to 10 hours light daily depending upon the number of bulbs used at a time. Meanwhile we have received complaints from 18 households for non–performing of devices and same were attended and rectified.
The GlobalGiving knows the strength in numbers and small donations add up to BIG change. So, we request you to kindly make small donation to put light in the life of poor villagers.
The SED staff and all the beneficiaries say thank you very much for your support and help in enlighten life of poor women & children in this desert region.
