Young people in South Punjab are increasingly active on social media, yet many lack awareness of safe, responsible, and productive online practices. This project will train 20-30 youth in digital literacy, online safety, and positive use of social media. With a modest budget of $3,330, we will empower them to become responsible digital citizens.
Misinformation exposes them to fake news. Cyberbullying harms mental health. Privacy risks leave personal data unprotected. Addiction affects studies and wellbeing. Without guidance, these issues can damage their health, reputation, and future opportunities.
Safe use - Teaching privacy protection and responsible posting. Fight misinformation - Helping youth identify fake news. Prevent cyberbullying - Roleplay and discussions on handling harassment. Healthy habits - Guidance on time management and avoiding addiction. Positive engagement - Using social media for education, career, and community service.
Digital literacy - Youth gain lasting skills to use social media wisely. Reduced risks - Protection against misinformation, cyberbullying, and privacy threats. Positive engagement - Using social media for education, career, and community service. Generational change - Trained youth influence peers and future generations.
