CUTTING DOWN THE TREES, BUSHES BURNING AND CULTIVATE THE CARE FARM LAND
We would like to share a quarterly progress report with you about our Care Farm Project for the last 3 months. Our Social Light Care Farm Project has been able to clean the Farm by Cutting the trees, Bushes burning and start caltivating some of the farm land areas. This is was our second step of our care farm land preparation activities.
If we get more funding from Supporters: Our expectation for the Third step is to increase the areas for cultivating the land, digging and installing a water well for vegetable development activities (Vegetable Production, Fruit / Orchard Production, Animal Husbandry, Greenhouse /Nursery Production and Nature Therapy).
These Care Farms will be used to create a place of treatment and provide on-site counseling and treatment services to serve the most vulnerable people with special needs, using the nature of the farm.
This project aims to bridge the mental and physical health treatment gap, reduce stigma, and foster resilience in the community. It will empower people and create a stronger, more compassionate society that prioritizes mental well-being.
This African Care Farm Project we are planning will create a therapeutic place for the women to help with their mental health by treating emotional, physical and financial trauma for 500 women. Session will be offered in horticulture, agriculture, and life skills involving gardening, animal care, cooking, and farming. It will provide a hub for people to come together to make new friends and reduce depression anxiety and isolation. This Project will provide 4 local chickens and training to each of 500 women. This is a different approach from Care Farms that bring people to a farm. It is a project unique to Africa that brings farms to rural women. The goal is to create a sustainable and scalable Care Farm organization in Tanzania, Africa.
