From Survival to Strength

By Nour Elmasry | Digital Marketing Specialist

Dear Alhassan Donors, Supporters, and Believers,

Thank you for donating to our initiatives for the “Social Awareness about Differently Abled in Egypt” project. This project reflects the heart of our mission and vision. We believe that by changing the mentality of our community and how they perceive physically challenged people, we will spend less time and effort demanding wheelchair users’ basic human rights; their needs will naturally be considered and respected.

Road accidents are among the leading causes of spinal cord injuries, often changing a person’s life completely and leading to the use of wheelchairs.
At Alhassan Foundation, we work to help people with disabilities rebuild their lives through psychological, physical, social, sports, and artistic support, giving them the chance to live independently and confidently again.

Sabah’s journey is a powerful example of strength and determination. While she was in her third year of Al-Azhar secondary school, she experienced a tragic accident that resulted in paraplegia. After a year and a half, she faced another road accident that forced her back to using a wheelchair once again.

Despite all these challenges, Sabah refused to let the accidents stop her life or her dreams. She continued moving forward with courage and determination, proving that difficult moments can never define a person’s future.

During this difficult time, Alhassan Foundation supported Sabah by providing her with a properly fitted wheelchair that made a huge difference in her daily life and helped her regain her independence. With support and determination, Sabah continued her education at the Faculty of Islamic Studies at Al-Azhar University and later studied speech therapy and mental health.

Today, Sabah is employed, socially active, and practices both swimming and horseback riding. Her story proves that with the right support and strong determination, life can begin again after even the hardest challenges.

Thank you dear donors for your donations; your support is what enables us to continue our mission. We urge you to continue supporting our cause and stay loyal donors by subscribing to a monthly recurring donation option.
