Over the past few months, our SOAR program has taken off! The SOAR program is our program designed to help teenagers with depression and anxiety through therapetic riding and counseling. It began as a response to the COVID-19 pandemic, which made the depression pandemic in the US quite evident. In this 8-week program, clients attend one hour of therapeutic riding and one hour of group mental health counseling.
Recently, we had some very exciting news with the SOAR program! We have now connected with two local schools and will be able to help students in need of our services at these schools as part of a school program. We are very excited to begin this new journey with our SOAR program, as there are many youth waiting for therapeutic services. While we recognize there is still so much more need, we are grateful we can help in this small (and very large!) way.
And we have you, our donors and sponsors, to thank for that. We greatly appreciate all the support you give to Back in the Saddle Equine Therapy Center. Without you, we wouldn't be where we are today!
