Our Soap Making for Health & Income in Rural Schools project continues to empower vulnerable children in rural Uganda through practical soap-making skills, improved hygiene, and income generation.
With support from donors through globalgiving.org, children are learning how to produce branded liquid soap using affordable local materials. The soap is used in schools to improve sanitation and handwashing, while surplus sales help support vulnerable learners with school needs.
We are encouraged to see children becoming ambassadors of hygiene in their homes and communities by promoting cleanliness and safe handwashing practices.
The project has also expanded into solid soap making, giving students more practical entrepreneurship skills and creating new opportunities for sustainability and self-reliance.
However, we still need support for:
Protective safety gear
Production equipment and containers
Raw materials and testing tools
Expansion to reach more schools and children
Our goal is to reach 1,000 children with life-changing hygiene and vocational skills under our message:
“Clean Today, Empower Tomorrow.”
Thank you to everyone supporting this mission of health, education, and empowerment.
