Dear Friends and Supporters,
We are excited to share another update on the progress of our soap making and hygiene empowerment project for vulnerable children in Uganda. Your support continues to make a meaningful difference in the lives of many children and families in our community.
Through this initiative, children are being trained in liquid soap production using affordable and locally available materials. The project not only teaches practical vocational and entrepreneurship skills, but also promotes proper hygiene and sanitation practices among school children.
One of the most encouraging outcomes we have witnessed is that children are now taking soap back home for use with their families. This has greatly contributed to improved cleanliness and hygiene practices both at school and within their households. Many children are becoming ambassadors of hygiene in their communities by encouraging regular handwashing and cleanliness at home.
In addition, the soap produced is helping schools maintain better sanitation while extra products sold within nearby communities generate small income to support vulnerable children with school supplies and educational needs.
We are also grateful to report that the support we received, including our first donation through the GlobalGiving platform and additional contributions from supporters outside the platform, has helped us successfully establish our solid soap making project. This new step is expanding learning opportunities and creating even greater impact for children and women involved in the program.
