Soap and Water to Save Hundreds of Congolese Kids

Dear Friends of CCD,

Safe access to water and sanitation education in Baraka are a community effort. Over the last couple of months, we have worked with the community on many fronts, from nurses in dispensaries, to parents at family events, and children in local primary schools. Many exciting things have happened:

• We visited two small villages where we helped build basic wells last year.
• We collaborated with other organizations to distribute soap and large water containers that are very convenient for families store their clean water.
• We began sending out radio broadcasts at one local radio station to disseminate hygiene and sanitation information, and we have been reaching several thousands of people that way.
