Dear donors,
The holidays have been over for a while. Now, the rainy season is in full swing in Eastern DRC, and it brings with it the challenges of bad driving conditions due to extremely muddy dirt roads. Still, our Consortium Congo volunteers soldier on as they work to reach parents and children in various areas such as Baraka, Uvira and Fizi to reassess the current water and sanitation-related needs of the local families living there. And luckily, there were lots of villagers and passersby who were very helpful when staff and volunteers were stuck on muddy roads.
On one of these trips through South-Kivu, we encountered a band of merry, bright, and curious 5 to 10 year old companions, who will hopefully make it safely through the rainy season, thanks to your continued support for this project.
Please continue to spread the word about CCD to help us eradiate waterborne diseases in Congo!
Thank you for your support.
