Dear Donors,
Thank you for your interest in the Smokeless Cooking Stoves for 500 Displaced Families project. At this time, no donations have been received, so the planned distribution of improved cooking stoves has not yet begun.
Across several IDP camps, many families continue to cook with open fires due to lack of electricity and the high cost of fuel. This exposes women, children, and elderly persons to heavy smoke, burns, and breathing problems.
Cooking has become both risky and expensive. Some families are forced to reduce the number of meals they prepare each day because they cannot afford fuel. Others continue using unsafe methods, which affect their health and living conditions.
This project is designed to provide 500 efficient charcoal stoves to displaced families across camps in Area 1, Kuchigoro, Masaka, Borno, and Benue State. These stoves are built to reduce smoke, cook faster, and use less fuel, making them safer and more suitable for daily use.
With these stoves, families can prepare meals more safely, reduce exposure to harmful smoke, and manage their limited resources better.
We appreciate your time in learning about this effort and remain hopeful that support will come so this project can begin and bring relief to families living in these difficult conditions.
Sincerely,
Ugbede-Ojo Dominic Kadiri
