Two new participants joined our micro=entrepreneurs program during the last quarter. The joining is as a result of a collaboration between the healing and empowerment program of GLOWA and the micro-entrepreneurs development program.
GLOWAHaus, which provides healing and empowerment services to sexually exploited women at GLOWA recently reached out to the micro-entrepreneurship program to present the situation of two of its participants where were struggling with accommodation and transportation means to the empowerment center. After due discussions and consideration, the two vulnerable participants who were on the verge of losing their homes and dropping out of the program were provided micro credits to start part time individual businesses and help to raise income to continue to pursue their healing and empowerment program.
It is worth noting that this is the first time that two programs of GLOWA are officially collaborating in the empowerment of sexually abused girls and women.
