Against a backdrop of an unprecedented world pandemic, with businesses fighting for survival and the humankind worried about their wellness, both health wise and financial, times are definitely trying. We as a Foundation are reliant on donor funding and income from our fundraisers. With slipper day and all other fundraising events being postponed indefinitely and corporate SA feeling serious strain – the funding into the Foundation has come to a grinding halt.
Reach For A Dream is a household name, and as a 32 year old Foundation, the prospect of not being able to fulfil dreams and engender a passion for life in our children, is something we cannot begin to contemplate. We are trying to do all we can to ensure that we can continue to positively impact South African children after the crisis has passed. Once we are able to engage with our beneficiaries again, we anticipate an influx of little dreamers who will be in need of support, but in the meantime, we need to ensure that we can survive this period.
We please ask you to assist us in raising funds for Slipper Day 2021. As we had to put 2020 on hold, we would like to ensure that we raise even more needed funding towards chidlren fighting life threatening illnesses. Slipper Day will take place on the 7th May 2021 and we would like to make it a global campaign next year, raising awareness and funds internationally.
We hope that everyone will find it in their hearts to make a donation of their choice to our special dream chidlren who need it the most, especially now due to COVID.
Thank you
