Project Report | Jul 28, 2026
Build a SkillsHub for 3000Youth with Disabilities

By Mahlogonolo Ngoepe | Project Leader

Since our last report, we have continued advancing our vision of creating the SkillsHub for 3,000 Youth with Disabilities. Following the successful acquisition of the 10-hectare site in Limpopo, our team has focused on planning the next phase of the project while continuing to mobilise resources for construction. We have been engaging with community stakeholders, disability advocates, and technical partners to ensure the future SkillsHub is fully accessible, sustainable, and responsive to the needs of young people with disabilities. We are also developing plans to incorporate smart farming and digital innovation, creating a unique learning environment where participants will gain practical agricultural, entrepreneurial, and technology skills.

While we prepare for construction, we remain committed to empowering young people through our ongoing outreach programmes. Since our last update, we have reached more than 200 additional youth with disabilitiesthrough digital literacy training, entrepreneurship mentoring, career guidance, and disability inclusion activities. One participant, Lebo, joined our programme with little confidence in her ability to earn an income. After completing our entrepreneurship sessions, she started a small handmade products business and is now inspiring other young people with disabilities in her community to believe in their own potential. Her progress reflects the lasting impact that skills development can have long before the SkillsHub opens its doors.

Our immediate priority is to secure the funding needed to begin developing the SkillsHub and launch the first phase of the smart farming demonstration programme. Every donation brings us closer to creating a centre where thousands of young people with disabilities will gain the skills, confidence, and opportunities to build independent and sustainable futures.

Thank you for standing with us on this journey. Your continued support is transforming hope into action and bringing our shared vision closer to reality.
