The children and staff at Sky Is The Limit are experiencing some challenging times.
The pandemic continues to have devastating effect on the country, with many communities across Uganda facing even more financial pressures. The costs of food and supplies are increasing with every month – Sky Is The Limit reports an average 0.59% inflation - and have been since the pandemic began. Uganda has recently overcome its third wave/lockdown.
Despite lockdowns closing schools for 6 months in 2020, and again in 2021, the children are enjoying their lessons after working so hard on their end of year exams the past few months. We were very pleased to let you know that the Ugandan government opted to delay these exams to give all children time to catch up after missing so much school. After eagerly awaiting the outcomes of their efforts, we’re delighted to announce that Sky Is The Limit performed very well. All 22 children who underwent their end-of-primary exams passed with either a First or Second grade.
With 400 students to care for, Sky Is The Limit is in desperate need of funds to that they can continue prioritising the wellbeing of the disadvantaged young children who attend the school.
A donation from you today can help Sky Is The Limit to continue to providing a hot, nourishing meal every single day to 400 children so that they do not spend their school days unable to focus because their bellies are grumbling from hunger. For many of Sky Is The Limit’s students, their school meals is the only hot meal they receive.
You can be a lifeline to children like Aida and Thomas. They – and other students like them at Sky Is The Limit – are living with HIV/Aids. Their immune systems, so compromised that they may not survive if they caught the COVID-19 virus. Wearing masks and washing their hands regularly is one of the few options they have to keep themselves safe until vaccines are more readily available in Uganda. Please consider, donating today to help them stay safe.
Thank you for your dedication to education and wellbeing of the children at Sky Is The Limit.
Because of you, we are able to make such a positive difference to their lives.
