Wow! We seem to have found another group of enthusiastic and determined youth who are through their life skills training block and into their first block of vocational college training.
We have added a new area and college into the mix this year as we try to roll out this programme. When we chose the youths to participate in the 2026 training, we were heartened and dismayed in equal measure to see many of those who were unsuccessful in securing a place last year back in the waiting line. Heartened to see that our project is still highly sought after but dismayed that these youths had to wait so long and could find no other option. However, we gave them their chance this year and they are very keen to make the most of it.
We are now working with a larger group of trainers and a larger area than before but we expect the knowledge we have gleaned over the past years to enable us to be equally successful further afield.
