We are having a very exciting week. For three successive days, we have been celebrating the graduation of attendees at part time courses at three separate colleges around Kitale ie Kitale Polytechnic, Matisi and Machungwa. Again, we have had another incredibly successful year with these youths and all have completed their dual approach courses of apprenticeship training combined with vocational training in the colleges.
This skills training project has brought so much joy to all involved - our donors, our staff, families of the beneficiaries, the trainers in college, the trainers at apprenticeships and, of course, the trainees themselves. Hundreds of people are benefitting from this great programme that provides hope, counselling skills and sustainale income generation.
Next year we will be rolling out the programme to include another college in a different area while also maintaining a presence in the colleges we have been working with
