We have added two more giant water tanks on the property. They are both 2000 litres and sit on strong cement foundations. The people are especially happy to have clean water for laundry and baths.
We added a new iron sheet roof to the shade house. Now there are gutters that direct the water into our pond. The pond may over flow in a week. We will have to figure out how to store more water. It is such a great problem!
We also gave away seeds to the 30 most food-insecure families near the Suubi center. We gave them pumpkin, corn and bean seeds. They have planted the seeds. Already everything is looking very green. We would like to do a cone garden workshop for these 30 families. A cone garden is a raised garden bed made with rice sacks. We need 600 USD to cover the costs for the materials. We have made a few examples of the cone gardens on our property.
