Project Report | Oct 24, 2014
Ronald McDonald House, Houston

Dear Supporter,

The team at the Sing Me A Story Foundation recently visited the Ronald McDonald House in Houston, that offers a home away from home providing care, compassion and hope to families with seriously ill children being treated in Texas Medical Center member institutions.

The Ronald McDonald House offers a safe and loving environment to children facing a life threatening condition, including those in need of an organ transplant or fighting cancer. At their facilities, families find a place to rest, spaces for play time for children, quiet reading nooks, delicious homemade meals and cookies, and, above all, other families with whom they can share their journeys and find strength and support.

The children at the House wrote a variety of stories to be turned into songs. A lot centred around Mogie, the resident house pooch and main comfort ambassador. The kids were asked to write a postcard on behalf of Mogie, the resident dog at the Ronald McDonald House, from his Summer Vacation! Mogie was on a long trip and needed the kids to help him write and decorate postcards to send back to the Ronald McDonald House.

4 of these stories have been turned into songs and need your donations to bring to life! To listen to the songs, check out the website here - https://singmeastory.org/partners/ronald-mcdonald-house-houston/songs

Thank you for supporting this project and these children.

All the best
