Dear Supporter,
Whilst we are still waiting for funds to come in for this project, I wanted to share with you some recent stories Sing Me A Story have dealt with.
Camp Hobé is a special summer camp designed for children with cancer and their siblings, who are often forgotten in the cancer experience. Camp Hobé gives kids the opportunity to participate in camp activities just like healthy children whose families are not affected by cancer. The camp program provides medical and psychosocial supervision to ensure children are safe both mentally and physically during camp.
Below is a story written by Matthew, waiting to be turned into a song by a songwriter:
'One Epic Life Story' by Matthew
My life is a story, yes it is trueMy life is an epic, I'm telling you!I'm fighting a brain tumor, a cancerous foeBut noneytheless, I'm not filled with woe!I'm fighting my battle with courage and valorI'm living my life every single hour! Each day I fight, I learn and I growBecause I am sure it will help me know....That although cancer may be trouble, as it will be.....Cancer will NEVER overtake me!As you can see, these stories, turned songs, play an inspirational role in children fighting a tough battle. Thank you for recognising the importance of this and choosing to support this project.
All the best
