Thanks to your contribution, we've made significant progress with our summer camp initiative that kickstarted in December. The exciting news is that we've now extended this project to Santo Antônio! To celebrate Earth Day, we hosted a 3-day event involving 25 children from Santo Antônio and Rocinha favelas, focusing on boosting creativity, teamwork, and community pride. Together, we transformed the Santo Antônio trash center to showcase the importance of positive environmental contributions.
During the event, we engaged the children in clay play and painting ceramic pieces for the trash center on the first day. We then divided them into groups to choose the center's color scheme, and the following day, we put our plan into action by implementing the designs. On the final day, we celebrated our achievements and discussed next steps.
The children, together with residents of Santo Antônio, have expressed interest in learning about recycling and its significance. Now, we want to launch the third phase of this project, aiming to reach out to 500 residents through workshops in schools and public spaces to emphasize the importance of recycling. Your contribution will directly support these efforts, empowering young leaders to care for their environment and create a positive impact.
Thank you for being part of our journey and please share with your friends and family.
