As an educational organization with a holistic approach, Shelter Them focuses on the nutrition of the children. A good diet is crucial for children's brain development, and hence, it is essential to ensure that all children at Shelter Them eat properly and receive a balanced diet that promotes their growth and development.
The nutrition program has identified those who are malnourished and to what extent. Based on this identification, each child has received appropriate treatment to meet their specific needs, with the ultimate goal of reaching 0% of children in a state of malnutrition. The use of professional medical tools ensured accuracy and effectiveness in the implementation of the program.
This program has helped in the healthy development of children, both physically and mentally. As a result, we have seen improvements in their academic performance. They have also been exposed to different games and entertainment, leading to the discovery of new talents over time. Moreover, we have observed that the children have developed self-esteem and enjoy working as part of a team, which is a positive change from their previous tendency to prefer being alone.
Nutrition plays a central role in early childhood development, requiring a collective effort from parents, educators, and community sponsors, particularly in poor communities.
