Although we have not been very sucessful yet in raising funds for beds, we will not give up hope. After all, the beds are for "Hope for Children" center, our orphanage in Kenya where hope has been restored to many hundreds of children over the pasts 12 years. Hope is what we thrive on,and we have rarely been disappointed.
2013 has been a struggle, but so many wonderful things have happened, Several of our students are graduating from college, something they would never have imagined in their wildest dreams when even primary school seemed out of reach. Six have graduated from high school, and will now move forward to start life as adults. This will give us room to take in younger children who currently have no hope. The young adults who have moved on still think of Hope Center as home, and we will always think of them as "our kids".
We are praying that in the year 2014, we can get the beds we need so badly so we can meet government criteria to accept more of the suffering orphans into our home and hearts..
