Dear Donors, Friends, Family and Contributors:
Since our last report, we would like to show you what your generous contribution and friendship has given to commit+act's Shelter for Abused Girls in Bo, Sierra Leone.
It has given us:
A Water Tower that give the Shelter residents and volunteers and staff, safe, clean water.
Solar Panels - that makes life cool in the summer and warm in the winter months.
Cook house with space for storage - where we can save food instead of having to dispose of them for
spoilage as there was truly no space to store them.
Reliable Vehicle which allows us to transport girls who have no means of reachig the Shelter and,
allows us to bring them a few minutes of relaxation and a change of pace at a local beach.
Vegetable Garden, which give the residents nutritious and healthy food.
Our future goals incllude building a playground for the children born out of a traumatic beginning, and for the mothers, who are still at the youthful age that they could share in the joys of childhood; a bigger shelter so we could house more abused girls.
We bring these abused girls hope for a different kind of future life, counseling to help them overcome their traumatic experience, and we can provide medical attention and examination.
Your generosity and friendship have given us the tools with which to continue the good work and to save an abused girl.
We hope and pray for your continued support and friendship.
In gratitude,
Dr. Jen
