Shelter & Education for abused children in Nigeria

Dear Donors,

Thank you to everyone who has donated to our Shelter & Education for Abused Children in Nigeria project. We are grateful for your support and for believing in our work to provide safety, education and care for children who have experienced abuse and neglect.

As mentioned in our previous update, our team conducted a needs assessment to understand what will be required to carry out the first phase of the project. The assessment helped us identify the immediate needs of the children and estimate the cost of shelter, education, meals, learning materials, counselling and other forms of care required during implementation.

After reviewing the budget against the funds currently available, we found that we do not yet have enough funding to begin the first phase as planned. Rather than start with resources that may not be sufficient to meet the children's needs, we have decided to wait until more funds are raised.

Once the first phase begins, we will share a new report with our donors, including information on the activities carried out, the number of children reached, how donated funds were used, and field photos and videos where appropriate and where the children's privacy and safety can be protected.

Your donation, regardless of the amount, will help us move to begin the first phase and reaching children who need protection and care.
