We are very delighted to report the successful progress of the ongoing project by ISKCON Prayagraj to provide proper shelter and hygienic care to cows at our Goshala.
Cows are an integral part of human society and Vedic culture teaches us to respect cows as our mothers and we are trying to incorporate this principle by giving our best care to our cows.
Due to lack of funds, the cows at our goshala were living in congested space, damaged walls, blocked drainage, and lack of employees to take care of them.
We are very thankful to all of you, because of all of your support, we have purchased a total of 50,000 KG of good quality fodder for our cows. We have also repaired the leaking cowshed. Walls have also been repaired. A good ventilation system has been arranged for the cows to have a healthy environment. Old fans were repaired and new fans provided for the cows to overcome the heat.
Under this project, we also prepared a land suitable for our cows to rest and play during the day and we witness very happy playing of small calves among each other and with their mother, which was difficult earlier due to lack of properly prepared ground.
3 employees have been hired and engaged in serving the cows and taking care of their food, cleanliness, and hygiene.
We are very thankful to the GlobalGiving team, our generous donors, and our volunteers for their support in this noble cause to serve our mother cows.
