Our climate literacy and girls’ leadership initiative continues to expand. Between April and July 2026, we reached 2 additional schools across Bardiya and Kailali districts, engaging 150 new direct beneficiaries (mainly adolescent girls, teenagers, and teachers) through interactive workshops on climate change, sustainable practices, and disaster preparedness.
We also held one Youth Climate Leadership session where girls developed and presented simple community action plans on waste management and water conservation. Local stakeholders expressed strong interest in supporting these youth-led ideas.
Cumulative Impact (up to July 2026):
These efforts are helping girls become active environmental leaders while reducing the climate-related burdens faced by rural women. The Women Welfare Foundation remains committed to scaling climate education and gender-responsive climate action. We thank our partners, schools, and supporters for driving this progress.
