2025 was another impactful year. The Women Welfare Foundation is incredibly proud of the progress we've made in empowering women and girls across Nepal with climate literacy. In total, we reached 5 additional schools in 3 different districts in Nepal. This outreach has more than 400 direct beneficiaries and over 700 indirect beneficiaries. These beneficiaries are on top of the existing 1500+ beneficiaries who have been educated on climate change and adopted eco-friendly habits. We also conducted capacity-building and advocacy sessions with 3 different local governments on climate literacy and gender-responsive climate policies.
These engagements have fostered meaningful collaborations, encouraging the integration of women's perspectives into local climate action plans and promoting more inclusive decision-making processes for a sustainable future. The Foundation remains committed to expanding these efforts, inspiring even more communities to lead in the fight against climate change.
