Report 1: INEE Global Consultation

By Kerstin Tebbe | Deputy Director, INEE

Over the last three months, INEE has taken many steps towards developing the 2014 Global Consultation. The activities during this period were preparatory in nature. Primarily, planning was undertaken for the period of the process of the Global Consultation, including the key event, through the end of 2014.

Among the tasks achieved, the Global Consultation concept was finalized and a work plan for 2013-2014 developed. A large meeting of active INEE members was held in Washington, DC, in early October at which colleagues discussed and provided feedback on the planning for the Global Consultation. An advisory group of key INEE members was established and began to feed back on the ideas and materials. Additionally, messages and communications materials were developed for sharing with the INEE membership -- 10,000 individuals in 170 countries -- to engage them in the activity. With plans and preparation in place, the process will officially be launched in early January.
