Shaolin Team Canada returned home in November and naturally, everyone wants to know how we did in the medal standings.
While we are a young team with relatively little experience, we have possibly the world's best traditional Shaolin coach and expert overseeing our team! That would be Master Shi Guo Song - a real and authentic Shaolin Monk who grew up at the Shaolin Temple since the 1970s. We have so much to thank him for because without him the Shaolin Culture would not have been able to grow in Canada as it has in the past decade.
We are proud Canadians and have great hearts and passion. We stayed focused for over a year, working on our taolu forms and preparing ourselves as best we can.
So how did we do in medal standings? We earned many medals including 4 gold medals, 10 silver medals, and 25 bronze medals. We were very proud representing Canada at this grand tournament and it needs to be said again and again that we could not have done it without all our supporters and helpers. So a big thank you all!
We have so many interesting stories to share and lessons learned and we look forward to the next report in 2019. Until then!
