Thank you so much for your support of our Shakespeare in the Rose series! In early June, we performed The Merchant of Venice for a crowd that was 15% larger than our audience from 2016. That means we created that much more revenue to benefit Blue Lake Public Radio, an NPR station that also broadcasts classical music to West Michigan audiences.
On August 26, we will present Julius Caesar at the Rose, also in partnership with Blue Lake Public Radio. We have an outstanding cast ready to begin rehearsals for this production, and we will be giving away groundling tickets to local students, allowing them the opportunity to see live performance of Shakespeare's plays.
In the future, we hope to expand our performances in the Rose to include more opportunities for secondary and college students to see these performances. Your support helps us to plan our ongoing Rose performances, contributing to actor stipends, costumes, props, and marketing materials. We are grateful for your dedication to live theatre in our region!
