Thanks to all of our supporters, we have had two fantastic performances at the Rose this summer! In June, we performed Shakespeare's The Taming of the Shrew, and just this past weekend, we presented Shakespeare's Antony and Cleopatra. At Antony and Cleopatra, we were joined by Jim Warren, founding artistic director of the American Shakespeare Center, who gave a pre-show talk about the importance and rarity of reconstructed Shakespearean theatres. This was Jim's first visit to the Rose, and we hope he will return again in the future.
24 actors and two directors participated in these two performances, which reached hundreds of audience members from West Michigan and beyond. We are thrilled to be able to offer this exciting programming to our audiences. Thank you again for your contributions!
