Dear Valued Supporters,
We are glad to communicate with you again on the progress of our project. During the period under review, we have continued to grow at GLOWAHaus, our healing and empowerment center established to empower survivors of sexual exploitation and slavery. During the period under review, GLOWA expanded the services we provide to our participants to include menstrual hygiene kits. As could be seen in the pictures, a ceremony to donate menstrual hygiene kits to 15 girls for a period of one year was held at GLOWA Office. Each participant of our healing and empowerment program got a pack that would last one year.
The program equally expanded to include training the participants in the production of industrial quality liquid deterget and body lotions. Commemorating the 2023 World Humanitarian day, our participants showcased their products ranging from embroidered dresses, sewn dresses liquid detergents etc. This expansion is expected to increase the income base of sexually abused women and provide a faster source of income. As program participants continue to pursue vocational training in sewing and traditional embroidery, the production and marketing of body lotions and liquid detergents will enable them to make income and satisfy some of their basic needs such as shelter and daily transportation to the empowerment center
GLOWAHaus is expected to continue to grow and increase the number of skills it presently provide to its participants
