45 laptop computers have been successfully installed in the Hyderabad and Secunderabad schools. The students and teachers have been actively using them to learn new and important skills. 90 desktop computers are still pending in customs and will increase the size of computer labs if they are released. Our partner, IDEX, will install them for the schools.
A special thanks to the many donors that helped make this trip possible. It was a very rewarding experience for all that participated. We all learned a great deal from each other and it is rewarding to know the Indian students are actively learning new computer skills.
TSC is currently working on a trip to Costa Rica (July 2012), Ghana (April 2013), and Guatemala (Summer 2013). Look for project summaries on Global Giving soon. A video with interviews of students participating in TSC trips will be available later this summer.
