Despite a rise in school fees, GCN has been able to provide 30 girls with full scholarships! Another 134 girls were given school-books and other supplies, and GCN’s food program has increased the health and academic performance of the girls it serves. Most of the girls are now part of after school activities and have the energy to study.
Many of the young women and girls GCN work with have come from abusive situations. GCN provides them with housing, food, and the support necessary to get justice through the court system in Zimbabwe. Attending school and after-school programs provides these girls with important social and peer support.
Thanks to your generous donations, GCN can continue to send girls to school healthy, active, and with the supplies they need.
