Your generous donations help fund computer literacy for the girls that GCN works with in the townships of Mwemba, Mashala, Neshaya, St. Marys, Nekabandama, Hwange Urban, and Victoria Falls in Zimbabwe.
In the last year, 30 girls were provided with full-scholarships to attend school. They are provided with books, pens and pencils, and tuition. GCN’s mission is to end violence against girls and provide the legal, educational, and personal tools to overcome experiences of abuse. Plus, fairly recently in it’s history of 12 years, GCN has acquired the additional access to computers and IT education that helps these students develop valuable skills they will need to earn a living out of school.
Providing young women who have lived in abusive situations with a safe haven is incredibly important. And to equip them with the skills to become empowered, active citizens and advocates against violence, abuse, and mysogeny is absolutely necessary.
