The boys of The Good Samaritan home help raise funds and build goodwill through garbage collection in the Mathare Slum where they live. The boys enjoy the work while the girls of the home do not like it at all. Each child in the Good Samaritan Home has duties. Some of them care for the animals the home raises to help feed the children. Often the girls work on sewing, especially helping with the school uniforms. There is always plenty of milk for the children to drink.
