Amy and Jon Ostroff, co-founders of Love to Langa, were honored at a concert celebrating the 25th anniversary of Nelson Mandela's election on May 18, 2019. They received the Generosity Award for their work in South Africa from The Peace Train band, led by South African Sharon Katz.
Before the concert, Love to Langa held a fundrasiser that raised over $100,000 for their Montessori School project! A Philadelphia-based architect who is working in collaboration with BPAS South African architects, presented a beautiful concept drawing to be submitted as plans for the Love to Langa Montessori Academy. The building will be a one of a kind centre of excellence providing education for early childhood development, community teacher training and establishing itself as a hub for empowering other early childhood centres in the area. It was a very memorable evening.
