HDS has safely been able to reopen! We’ve been waiting for this day for quite a while. Due to Covid 19 we had to open this semester a little late but what’s most important is that we are open. At HDS we have implemented quite a few safety measures to ensure everyone stays healthy. We prepared by making sure we had enough masks, hand sanitizer, and hand soap for everyone.
All the students are really happy to be back in school. Upon returning to HDS many of the students let us know that they really missed school and are so excited to be able to continue their study and education. This semester we were able to supply all the students with stationary so that they have the materials they need to succeed in class and when they study at home.
This semester we even had a former staff join us to help with classes! She has volunteered to teach English classes on Tuesday and Wednesday. And as if that wasn’t amazing enough, she has also been supporting the students with snacks and lunch. We truly have an amazing community here at HDS.
To all our past, present, and future donors we would like to thank you for your continued support in keeping this program open. Education is at the core of DEPDC’s mission to prevent the trafficking of vulnerable youth and thanks to your donations we are able to do just that.
