Send 500 non school going children to School

SUGAM JAGRITI has been initiated with mission To Create Awareness in the social life to establish exploitation less, Injustice less, Classless, uniform and self reliant society. Objective of the Programme: The main objective of this programme is to reach up to the Children of labourers and challenged children and help them in association with formal education and there after making them skilled and self sufficient. Finally emphasises on mainstreaming to these challenged children and child labours with education and society , so that they can dream for a respected and self reliant future with dignity. Child labourers as well as challenged children on different types of labour work ,all require a strong base in education and access to quality education. In case of school dropouts parents and children need to be continuously counselled and encouraged to go back to school. The education programs designed at SUGAM JAGRITI recognize this need and aim to bridge this gap.

The Organization further focus on labour and challenged girls, as they are most vulnerable and also raises question of exploitation , child marriage and trafficking. Hence the organization specific care to girls children.

Success Story

Name: Reena Kumari (Name Changed) Age: 11 years,

While Organization staffs were making work at village they interacted with Ms. Reena Kumari, age 11, Vill- Mozafra, Islampur and asked about her education . She mentioned some problems in going to school . Further interacted with parents . During the interactions with family members it came out that she is not going to school and they have engaged her in Labour work along with parents . Her parents were not focused to her education and they even don’t aware of importance of girls education. In such critical situation organization staffs suggested parents to enrol her at education Centre. After that they made regular home visit and regularly counselled for enrolment of children at education centre, and finally parents agreed . The organization provided School Uniform, School Bag, Stationary to Reena Kumari. There was seriously lacking education behaviour in Ms. Reena but it developed after regular presence at the education and developed interest of education and started functional participation in class activities . Her attendance in the school gradually improved . Regular touch with same aged children and care and guidance of teacher made her more punctual and disciplined child. At present she is a regular student and present at class regularly . Now both parents and she express special thanks to Donor, GlobalGiving & Sugam Jagriti for kind support and guidance".
