Educational Support to a most needy child

By Janardhan Chaudhary | Project Coordinator

Mainstreaming a Needy Child

SUGAM JAGRITI has been initiated with mission To Create Awareness in the social life to establish exploitation less, Injustice less, Classless, uniform and self reliant society. Objective of the Programme: The main objective of this programme is to reach up to the Children of deprived, needy and challenged children and help them in association with formal education and there after making them skilled and self-sufficient. Needy Children as well as challenged children on different types of labour work & Droupout . all require a strong base in education and access to quality education. In case of school dropouts, parents and children need to be continuously counseled and encouraged to go back to school. The education programs designed at SUGAM JAGRITI recognize this need and aim to bridge this gap.

Story of Change

Name: Sunaina Kumari & Tarun Kumar (Name Changed) Age: 09 years and 11 Years,  Vill- Gulzarbag, Islampur
During the field visit organization staffs met with Sunaina Kumari d/o late Jitendra Manjhi. Sunaina Kumari was playing during school time. During the interactions with naubours it came out that she is orphane, her parents dead in a accident and she is not going to school and her brother Tarun Kumar is also not going to school and her brother tarun kumar is completely engaged in Labour work. In such circumstances organization staffs met the school headmaster and asked to put them in School for mainstreaming.  Sunaina Kumari & Tarun kumar had no touch with study hence they was not ready to sit in the class for first few days but slowly they got interested in kind of teaching and activities other children were doing in the class. Her attendance in the School gradually improved. Regular touch with same aged children and care and guidance of teacher made them more punctual and disciplined child. We have provided  School Bag, Stationary & build-up self-confidence to Sunaina Kumari and Tarun Kumar. Now Sunaina Kumari and Tarun Kumar are going to school regularly.  We are really thankful to Donor, GlobalGiving & Sugam Jagriti for the kind of effort.
