Mainstreaming a disadvantage child

SUGAM JAGRITI has been initiated with mission To Create Awareness in the social life to establish exploitation less, Injustice less, Classless, uniform and self reliant society. Objective of the Programme: The main objective of this programme is to reach up to the non school going children and challenged children and help them in association with formal education and there after making them skilled and self sufficient. Disadvantage children as well as challenged children on different types of labour work all require a strong base in education and access to quality education. In case of school dropouts parents and children need to be continuously counseled and encouraged to go back to school. The education programs designed at SUGAM JAGRITI recognize this need and aim to bridge this gap.
Impact: We have find 278 non school going children and mainstreamed them with education through regular counselling, meeting with parents, door to door survey, meeting with school teachers . We have provided School Uniform, School Bag, Stationary, Shoes for those Child Labour Children. Organizing sensitization meeting with Parents & Community

Send a Non School going child to School
SUGAM JAGRITI has been initiated with mission To Create Awareness in the social life to establish exploitation less, Injustice less, Classless, uniform and self reliant society. Objective of the Programme: The main objective of this programme is to reach up to the Children of labourers and challenged children and help them in association with formal education and there after making them skilled and self sufficient. Child labourers as well as challenged children on different types of labour work all require a strong base in education and access to quality education. In case of school dropouts parents and children need to be continuously counseled and encouraged to go back to school. The education programs designed at SUGAM JAGRITI recognize this need and aim to bridge this gap.
Impact: We have mainstreamed 196 non school going Children with education. We have provided School Uniform, School Bag, Stationary, Shoes for those Children. Organizing sensitization meeting with Parents & Community
Story of Change
Name: Ms. Anamika Kumari (Name Changed) Age: 11 years, Father's Name- Kamal Kishor
During the field visit organization staffs met with Ms. Anamika Kumari and her family members. During the interactions with family members it came out that she is not going to school and Completly engaged in Labour work with parents . Her parents was not conscious for education. In such circumstances organization staffs asked parents to put her in education center. After regular counseling they agreed to send her to a education Center (Child labour Special School- Wazirganj). Anamika Kumari had no touch with study hence was not ready to sit in the class for first few days but slowly she got interested in kind of teaching and activities other children were doing in the class. Her attendance in the education center gradually improved . Regular touch with same aged children and care and guidance of teacher made her more punctual and disciplined child. After Child Labour Special School, She has been enrolled in Govt. Middle School- Wazirganj for mainstreaming purpose. Now she is going to school regularly. Now she and parents say " We are really thankful to Donor, GlobalGiving & Sugam Jagriti for the kind of effort they have put into my child's education".

Mainstreaming and minimizing Child Labour

Efforts towards Mainstreaming and Minimize the Child Labors.
SUGAM JAGRITI has been initiated with mission To Create Awareness in the social life to establish exploitation less, Injustice less, Classless, uniform and self reliant society. Objective of the Programme: The main objective of this programme is to make the vulnerable children i.e. child labour, challenged children etc. skilled and self dependent through mainstreaming them with formal education. Education would be a meaningful asylum for improving the condition of Child labourers as well as challenged children. Further education means quality education with meaningful contribution in improving their skills . In case of school dropouts parents and children need to be continuously counseled and encouraged to go back to school. The education programs designed at SUGAM JAGRITI recognize this need and aim to bridge this gap.
Impact: We have connected more than 200 child labour Children with formal education through Child Labour Special School . We have provided School Uniform, School Bag, Stationary, Shoes for those Child Labour Children. Organizing sensitization meeting with Parents & Community

Success Story of a Child Labour
Name: Ms. Rukmini Kumari (Name Changed) Age: 12 years, Father's Name- Mr. Kamta Manjhi
The organization staffs interacted with Ms. Rukmini Kumari and her family members during their regular village visit. During the interactions with family members it came out that she is not going to school and Completly engaged in Labour work with parents . Her parents were not sensitive to importance of education and not taking it seriously . Staffs initially sensitized the parents on importance of education and asked them to enroll children in education center. After regular counseling they agreed to send her to a education Center. Initially Rukmini Kumari was not ready to sit in the education centre due to fear . After regular counseling and moral boost up she got interested in education and other activities and meet with other children present in the class. Her attendance improved gradually due to regular counseling . Now there is huge improvement in her in terms of punctuality and discipline due to regular touch with same aged children and care and guidance of teacher. After Child Labour Special School, She has further been enrolled in Govt. Middle School- Amnawan for mainstreaming purpose. Now she is going to school regularly. They extends thanks to Donor, GlobalGiving & Sugam Jagriti for their kind support and guidance towards education.
We are actively working for mainstreaming of Child Labour Children.
