It is the great time of the year to celebrate Sports, Odisha being the host state of World Cup Men's Hockey with a caption called "My heart beats for Hockey"! The entire State and the city in specific had a different mood for 16 days hosting to players from different countries and giving great opportunity for hockey lovers in witnessing the match.
On the occasion of International disability day, the children and staff of the centre also celebrated the hockey mood! A letter was written to teh Director Sports to allow the children with reuced mobilites to reach to the gallery to winess the sport. The sports autority and the security management of the Stadium was onto their toes to extend all support to the children and the escorts. Children with the banner "My heart ALSO beats for Hockey" attracted the attention of the authority and the Mascot of the Sports "Olly" - representing the Olive ridley was sent to the children. And the joy of the children knew no bound to have Olly with them while watching great hockey between France & Spain.
Children and the parents were quite thrilled and the encouragement lasted long which also helped addressing the irregularity among children. As the hockey fever was going down the bridge centres again geared upto the Christmas Celebration!en! Reaching out to five more children with high support need from the centre was another noteworthy activity during this quarter of the time.
