#GivingTuesday Matching November 27

By Geetika Chandra | Development Manager and PR

Children with disabilities attending school are always vulnerable to drop off from school as many times they are not able to cope up with the regular academic syllabus. Such scenario not only limits their self esteem but also discourages other parents with similar children to send their children to school. Aaina has established 2 school based bridge centerswhere special educatorscreate an inclusive environment and use need based educative methods to bridge the academic gap.

Currently 15 children are being provided support through 2 bridge centers. Beyond numbers constant quality education is needed for sustainable academic growth of the children and bring a change in the mindset of community. Special educators and volunteers from Aaina have left no margin to create a strong foundation for the children where their specific needs are understood and technical tools and measures are provided for better academic performance.  With one year of operation of the centers, we can see more regular attendance of the children in school and growing trust of the parents on the abilities of their children.

Along with this great achievement, Aaina needs to further regularize the number of times children visit the center after school hours. We need them to come at least twice a week for more effective results. Moreover we currently have only one specialized professional. We need at least 1 more special educator to cover more number of children.  We need at least $ 3000 to meet the immediate needs in relation to human resource.

Your one generous donation on giving Tuesday November 27 will make a big impact for a child to get quality education! If you miss it on Giving Tuesday, you are encouraged to donate during Year End campaign from November 28 to December 31, 2018. A great time to donate where funds will be matched and make us win Bonus prizes too! Kindly don’t miss a chance to make an impact!!! Tell a friend too. Thanks so much!!!
