Happy New Year to everyone! We hope that 2017 will be a happy and healthy one for you and your families!
As we do every year in December, we celebrated the achievements of our students! The Self-Sustainable School model helped over 100 students graduate in 2016 with technical degrees in agriculture and tourism, and these students are now prepared for their lives beyond the classroom. The schools in Belen, San Pedro, Cerrito and Mbaracayu send their graduates off with the best wishes of luck.
2017 promises to be another exciting year full of exciting opportunities for students enrolled at schools implementing the Self-Sustainable School model. Students learn various trades, from cattle raising and farming, to dairy processing and cheesemaking, to hotel management and catering! In 2016, our students assisted in various different events, from small business retreats held at school hotels, to the Entrepreneurship Gala with 2,000 people in attendance. We look forward to sharing more of their stories throughout 2017.
