UHRC's social facilitators periodically train slum women'sgroup members and provide hand-holding support to link 200,000 slum/informal settlement popualtion to government and private affordable healthcare in Indore, a city of 3 million population in Central India.
During 2014-15, 10089 women availed deliveries in government and affordable private hospitals.
During 2014-15, 9693 women availed government’s Maternity Benefit Scheme (JananiSurakshaYojana).
Program cost of improving healthcare access across 200,000 urban slum/informal-settlement population in Indore was about Indian Rupees 75 per family per year.
