As we head into the summer months, we want to take a moment to let you know how our Service Dog grant program is going. We are so proud and honored to have been able to award 4 additional Seizure Service Dog grants to individuals needing these lifesaving dogs. This brings us up to 148 grants we have been able to provide, thanks to your dedication and support of this huge undertaking! These Service dogs provide these individuals with independence, assist during (and sometimes even before!) a seizure by propping them up on their side and retrieving medication, help with stability, and so many other tasks customized to their handler that make life safer for those effected by Epilepsy. Because they are not covered in any medical coverages, we raise funds to help those needing this type of assistance with the financial burden, as these dogs have extensive training and the cost is several thousand dollars..
We could not do this without you. We are so grateful for this tangible support you provide us to make these dogs a reality for these children and young adults. To help us do all we can to support them and provide them with hope. Every dollar provided through this project is used solely for Service Dog grants. Thank you so much for being a huge part of this!
