By Julie L Hutchison | President, Co-Founder and Chelsea's Mother
It is time for another update of this project. We appreciate your continued support and have now reached 141 grants provided for fully-trained seizure-response service dogs, with another 15 waiting at various stages of the process.
We are happy to report that Marissa and Luna are now working as a team. There was a small glitch last Summer when she attended camp to receive her service dog - she ended up being allergic to the first. Immediately Luna was placed into training for her and they were united in April and all is well.
Gunner and Rocket have also been working since February. We love seeing these teams come together.
Little Laney, who received a small grant from The Chelsea Hutchison Foundation will receive her service in a year or two. The trainer her family selected is an excellent trainer, however, they require all funds be raised prior to a dog being placed into training.
Thank you for keeping us in your gifting plans. We certainly appreciate it!
