Seeds of Opportunity for 200+ Youth in Rural UG

Hello Everyone!

There is lots to share since our last update. As always the children are growing and learning and finding amazing new ways to create opportunities.

We've had new volunteers find us through Workaway and continue to build meaningful connections around the world. Some of those supporters even helped us start a TikTok! (linked below)

One troubling update that most of you heard about was the recent terrorist attack at the Lhubiriha Secondary School in our neighboring town of Mpondwe. In caution, we paused schooling and invested in relocating the children while tensions were highest, but have since been able to return to some sense of normal.

Finally, we had our first success in a GlobalGiving campaign and were able to raise our largest sum from donors and will receive additoinal matching funds because of your generosit!

We are so grateful for your support as we learn how to best fundraise on GlobalGiving.  

Since we joined GlobalGiving a new school semester started! Our junior school is open and learning is in full swing. Our kids are receiving affordable and quality schooling with both local and international volunteer support.

With many of our kids going to boarding school, some in secondary school, and some living full-time at our foster home, there is not shortage of need (and joy) and your donations are helping make that possible!

We are excited to give children in our community the education they deserve. They are the future and we are committed to seeing them thrive and gain wisdom and knowledge they desire.
