Dear donors,
In January it was finally time for harvest.
This year we were able to rent a harvester which could reach the plot via a rups loader.
Happy faces were visible as the rice flowed from the machine:)
Unfortunately our project manager Momodu Sheku Kamara had to visit the hospital twice due to a severe bacterial infection.
Thanks to God he is recovering from the disease.
Due to this event the rice couldn't be processed immediately to seed rice.
During this time a rice weevil infestated the stock.
With help from the Ministry of Agriculture and Forestry the rice is ready for selling now.
Next report we look forward to give a complete final report from the 2023 rice cropping project.
