You're helping unlock futures for women & girls!

Dear friends and supporters,

Like us, you believe that girls and young women deserve access to skills training, so they can build safe, sustainable futures! Your regular gift is continuing to unlock just that for female students studying at our Seed of Hope programme.

Thanks to you, 430 girls and young women, including 97 young mothers, have been supported at Seed of Hope so far in 2026, enabling them to create a permanent path out of poverty and exploitation.

In Kenya, many girls and young women have to drop out of their education due to being unable to afford period products or childcare. Part of the support package the local experts provide at Seed of Hope is removing gender-based barriers to their learning. So, so far this year we have provided:

5,291 period products

521 childcare vouchers

Knowledge is power:

Recently, our partner-NGO held a learning session on periods for all female students, giving them the opportunity to ask questions and get to understand menstrual health.

These young women can share their learnings with their daughters, siblings and communities, reducing stigma, misinformation and shame that could hold women and girls back from reaching their full potential.

Collaborating on childcare

We are proud to share that our partner-NGO recently collaborated with Montessori For Kenya to deliver a pioneering five-day training - the first of its kind in Kenya!

Designed for mothers and anyone working with children aged 0–3 years, the workshop taught practical skills in early childhood care, empowering both caregivers and young children.

Seed of Hope were invited to lead sessions on mental health and sexual and reproductive health and rights (SRHR), because of their vital role in safeguarding and improving outcomes for mothers and babies.

Hopefully the first of many collaborations, the workshop was special as it saw five young mothers from Seed of Hope take part. Now equipped with new knowledge, they’re sharing what they’ve learned within their communities, extending the impact far beyond the classroom!

Thank you for standing with young women and girls in Kenya - we are so grateful for your support!

If you haven't already, make sure you sign up to our monthly mewsletter!

With love and gratitude,

Keely and the team
